A <br /> Board of Adjustment Section 10.25 <br /> • <br /> of:the county park commission. Initial appointments shall be for one, two and three <br /> years, beginning on July 1, or untir his successor shall have been appointed and qual- <br /> ified, .with the term of one member expiring each year. Vacancies may be filled by the <br /> • county board for unexpired terms. The compensation for members of the zoning commit- <br /> tee shall be the same as that allowed to county board members for attendance at commi- <br /> tee meetings. <br /> (b) It shall be the duty of the zoning committee to supervise the administration of <br /> the zoning, ordinance; to hold hearings on proposed amendments to this ordinance and <br /> make recommendations thereon to the county board; to approve plats for record in ac- <br /> cordance with the provisions of Section 236 (1) (b) of the statutes; and to perform <br /> such other duties in connection with zoning as may be delegated to it by'the county <br /> board. <br /> (4)• Penalties: <br /> . (a) Any person, or persons, firm, company, or' corporation, either"owner or occupant <br /> of the premises, who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects.•or refuses t4 comply with or <br /> resists the enforcene nt. of.any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be subject to <br /> a forfeiture-of not to exceed two hundred dollars ($200. 00) and costs, and in de- <br /> fault of payment io:f 'such forfdi ture'•by'imprisonment in..the• county`j ail until such <br /> forfeiture and costs are paid but not to exceed thirty (30) days. -Each day that a <br /> violation is permitted to exist shall constutute a separate offense. Compliance here- <br /> with shall also be enforced by injunctional order.at the suit of the county or occu- <br /> pant of real estate within:hhe district affected by the regulations of this ordinance. <br /> It shall.not.be.necessary to prosecute for forfeiture before resorting to injunctional <br /> proceedings. <br /> 10,26 BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> (1) Personnel, Term and Compensation. <br /> (a) The board of.adjustment shall consist of three members, appointed by the chair- <br /> Tan of the county board with'the approval of the county board, each serving for a term <br /> of three (3) years beginning on July 1, with the term of one member expiring each year. <br /> Members shall 'reside within the areas of the county coming under the jurisdiction of <br /> this ordinance and no two members shall be from-the same town. Compensation of members <br /> 'shall-be the°same as'.is:.allowed"-county board.members for attendance at committee meet- <br /> ings. <br /> (2) Rules, Meetings and Minutes. <br /> (a) The board of adjustment shall adopt such rules as will carry into effect the <br /> provisions of this ordinance. <br /> (b) Meetings .shall.be held 'at the call of the chairman and at such other times as <br /> the board shall determine. The chairman,' or in his absence, the vice chairman, may <br /> administer oaths and compel the attendance of witnesses. All meetings shall be open <br /> to the public. , <br /> (c) The board shall keep recotds of its-proceedings and a record of each official <br /> action taken, showing the vote of each member on such matter. The minutes shall be <br /> placed on file and be a public:record. <br /> (3) Powers and Duties. <br /> (a) Appeals... , <br /> 1. Appeals may be taken to the board of adjustment.by any person aggrieved, or by. <br /> any officer, department or bureau affected by. any; decision or.'order.of the.zoning, <br /> supervisor. Such appeal may represent-that an error has been made in the interpreta- <br /> tion of the terms of the ordinance, or that imposition of ordinance provisions creates <br /> undue hardship. <br /> -75- <br /> n <br />
