Definitions Section 10.01 <br />(17) Lot, Corner: A lot located at the intersection of two streets, any two corners <br />of which form an angle.of one hundred twenty (120) degrees or less, or.is. bounded by <br />a curved street any two chords of which on the inside of the curve form an angle of <br />one hundred twenty (120) degrees or less. <br />(18) Lot, Interior: .A lot which is not a corner lot. <br />(19) Lot Lines: The lines bouding a.lot as described herein. <br />(20) Lot Width: For purposes of this ordinance the width of a lot shall be the <br />shortest distance between the side lines at the setback line. On lake shore lots the <br />lot width shall be the distance.between the side lines at the-building line. <br />(21) Non--conforming Use: A building or premises occupied by a use which does not <br />conform to the regulations of the district in which it is located. <br />(22) Park, Amusement: An area, publicly or privately owned, containing amusement <br />and recreational facilities and devices- whether operated for profit or not. <br />(23) Park, Public: An area owned by the county or a municipality within the county, <br />operated for the convenience.and recreation of the public, and containing such facil- <br />ities as the owning municipality shall:see fit. - <br />(24) Parking Lot: A lot where automobiles are parked or stored temporarily but not <br />including the wrecking of automobiles or other. vehicles or storage for the purpose of <br />repair or wrecking. <br />(25) Person:-Except where otherwise indicated by the context, the word person shall <br />include the.plural, or a company, firm, corporation or partnership. <br />(26) Professional Office: When conducted in a residential district a professional <br />office shall be incidenta;. to the residential use of the premises, shall be conducted <br />by a member of the resident family.entirely.within a residential building and shall <br />include the offices of doctors or practitioners, miniters, architects, landscape ar- <br />chitects, professional engineers, lawyers, authors, musicians and other recognized <br />professional occupations conducted within a residence, but not including personal ser- <br />vices, such as barbers.and beauticians and similar occupations.. <br />(27) Recreational Camp: An area containing one or more.permanent buildings used <br />occasionally.or periodically for the accomodation of members of associations or groups <br />for recreational purposes. <br />(28) Rendering Plant: A plant for the reduction of dead animals., or slaughtered <br />animals not suitable.for human consumption, to by• products, such as hide, skin, <br />grease, bonds, glue and -soap, end for the storage of such by--products. <br />(29) Roadside Stand: A structure used or intended to be used by the owner or occu- <br />pant of the premises on which it is located for the sale of farm or garden products <br />produced on the premises or adjacent premises. Such structure shall not be placed <br />within the setback line and may not be used for the sale of or dealing in merchandise <br />other than farm.products locally produced. <br />(30) Rooming House: Same as lodging house. <br />(31) Setback: The minimum Horizontal distance from the front lot line of the lot <br />or from -the center of the highway, •measured parallel to the highway or the front lot <br />line to the front of the building. <br />(32) Service Station: Any building, structure or premises or other place used for <br />dispensing, sale or offering for sale of any motor fuel or oils, having pumps and <br />storage tanks, also where battery, tire and similar services are renderedm but not <br />including buildings or premises where such business is incidental to the conduct of <br />a public garage for the repair or storage of motor vehicles. <br />-3- <br />
