Administration, Enforcement and Penalties Sections 10.25 - 10x26 <br />Board of Adjustment <br />(g) Fees for building-permits shall be as follows: <br />For construction up to and including $500 .....................$2.00 <br />For construction from $500 to $1,000 ......................... :3.00 <br />For each $1,000 of construction over $1,000 .......4:........ 1.00 <br />Maximum fee 20.00 <br />For any certificate, license or fee not otherwise <br />Provided for 2.00 <br />Such fees shall.be collected by the zoning supervisor at th e.time the permit is <br />issued, and shall be accounted for and paid into the general fund of the county as <br />other moneys collected by the county. The county zoning supervisor shall issue a re- <br />ceipt for each fee collected. <br />(h) Any permit issued pursuant to the provisions of this section shall expire one <br />year from the date of issuance if construction has not been started within that time. <br />(3) Zoning Committee. <br />(a) The zoning committee shall be as created-.and constituted by the County Board and <br />shall have the dutues as prescribed by subsection (b) hereof. <br />(b) It shall be the duty of the zoning committee to supervise the administration of <br />the zoning ordinance; to hold hearings on proposed amendment to this ordinance and <br />make recommendations thereon to the county board; to approve plats for record iin ac- <br />cordance with .the provisions of Section 236 (10) (b) of t1te statutes; and to perform <br />such other duties in connection with zoning as may be delegated to it by the county <br />board. <br />(4) Penalties. <br />(a) Any person, or persons, firm, comp y, or corporation, either owner or occupant <br />of the premises, who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or <br />resists.the enforcement of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be subject <br />to a forfeiture.of not to exceed two hundred dollars ($200.00) and costs, and on de- <br />fault of payment of such forfeiture by imprisonment in the county jail until such <br />forfeiture and costs are paid but not to exceed thirty (30) days..Each day that a <br />violation is permitted to exist shall onstitute a separate offense. Comliance here- <br />with shall also be enforced by injunctional ,irder at the suit of th-e county or occu- <br />pant of real estate within the district affected by the regulations of this ordi- <br />nance. It shall not be necessary to prosecute for forfeiture before resorting to in- <br />junctional proceedings. <br />10.26 BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />(1) Personnel, Term and Compensation. <br />(a) The board of adjustment shall consist of three members, appointed by the chair- <br />man of the county board with the approval of the county board, each serving for a term <br />of three (3) years beginning on July 1, with the term of one member expiring each year. <br />Members shall reside within the areas of the county comipg under the jurisdiction of <br />this.ordinarice-and no two members shall be fro�i the "same town...Compensation ' of members <br />shall be the same as is allowed county board members for attendance at committee meet <br />ings. <br />(2) .Rules, Meetings and Minutes, <br />(a) The board of adjustment shall -adopt such rules as will carry into effect the <br />provisions of this ordinance. <br />(b) Meetings shall be held at the call of the chairman and at such other times as <br />the board shall determine. The chairman, or in his absnce, the vice chairman, may <br />administer oaths and compel the attendance of witnesses. All meetings shall be open <br />to the public. <br />-83- <br />
