SECTION 10.01; 10.02; 10.03 <br />which is abounded by the right -of -way lines of the highways or '3treets and a <br />vision clearance setback line connecting points on each right -of -way line which <br />are located a distance.back from the intersection equal to the setback required <br />on the road or highway. <br />(65) Yard: A space on a lot on which a building is situated, unoccupied except as <br />otherwise provided in this ordinance,, open and unobstructed from the ground to <br />the sky. <br />(66) Yard, Rear: An open 'space, unoccupied except for accessory buildings, extending <br />from the rear line of the building to the rear lot line for the entire width of <br />the lot. On lake shore or water front lots the water front end of the lot shall <br />be deemed the rear end of the lot for the purpose of computing rear yard and <br />setback required by this ordinance. <br />(67) Yard, Side: A yard or open space on each side of the main building extending <br />from the side wall of the building to the side lot line and from the front <br />lot line to the rear yard. <br />Section 3. Section 'II and XII of the ordinance of July 20, 1938, the title to which <br />is recited in the title to this ordinance, are hereby repealed. <br />Section 4. Two (2) new sections of the ordinance hereinabove entitled Chapter 10, <br />Dane County Ordinances, are created, to be known as Sections 10.02 and 10.03 to read <br />as follows: <br />10.02 DISTRICTS <br />(1) Creation: For the purpose of promoting the public health, safety and general <br />welfare, by regulating, restricting.and determining the location of trades and <br />industries and the location, heights, bulk and number of stories, the size of build - <br />ings.and other structures, and percentage of lot location of buildings designed <br />for specific purposes, and of establishing districts of such number, shape and <br />area as are best suited to carry out the purposes of Section 59.97, Wisconsin <br />Statutes. Dane County, outside the limits of incorporated villages and cities, <br />is hereby divided into districts, as follows: <br />(a) R -1 Residence. District <br />(b) R -2 Residence District <br />(c) R -3 Residence District <br />(d) R -3A Residence District <br />(e) R -4 Residence District <br />(f) RH -1 Residence District <br />.(g) RE -1 Recreational District <br />(h) B -1 Local Business District <br />(i) A -1 Agricultural District <br />(j) C -1 Commercial and Light Manufacturing District <br />(k) C -2 Commercial and Light Manufacturing District <br />(1) M -1 Inudstaial District <br />(m) CO-1 Conservancy District <br />10.03 ZONING DISTRICT MAPS <br />(1) The location and boundaries of the zoning districts other than the A -1 Agri- <br />cultural District and the flood prone areas (regional flood) are hereby <br />established as shown on maps entitled "Zoning District Maps" on file in the <br />-7- <br />
