SECTION 10.01 (52) Sign (Temporary): A sign which directs attention to an event to be held at a speci- fic time and place. During election campaigns, posters or signs on behalf of candi- dates for public offices or on behalf of a political belief shall also be considered as temporary signs. (53) Sign (Crop Demonstration): A sign used to designate a variety,*brand or other identification of a field crop, fertilizer, herbicide, pesticide being grown or used at a specific location. (54) Slaughter House: Any building or premises used commercially for the killing or dressing of cattle, sheep, swine, goats or horses, for human consumption and the storage, freezing and curing of meat and the preparation of meat products: (55) Story: The vertical distance of.a building included between the surface of any floor and the floor next above it, or if there be no floor above it, then the space between such floor and the ceiling; provided that a basement shall not be considered a story. (56) Story, Half: A story under a gable, hip or mansard roof, the wall plates of which on at least two sides are not more than two feet above the floor of such story. (57) Street: A public-or private thoroughfare which affords primary means of access to abutting property is a street to that .property for the purposes of this ordi- nance, except driveways to buildings. A driveway to a farm building shall not be considered a street for the purpose of determing setback, even though such driveway may have been designated a town road for the purpose of maintenance. (58) Street Liner The dividing line between the street and the lot. (59) Structure: Anything erected or constructed, the use of which requires more or less permanent location on the ground. Telephone,telegraph, power poles and lines and other transmission and communication lines shall be considered structures for the purpose of determining setback from highways. (60) Structural Alteration: Any change in the supporting members of a building, such as the bearing walls or partitions, columns, beams or girders, excepting such alterations as may be necessary for the safety of the building. (61) Tavern: A building.or part of the building open to the public, where fermented malt beverages and /or intoxicating liquors are sold at retail for consumption on the premises. The following shall not be considered a tavern: a restaurant where such beverages are sold only at tables and only in conjunction with meals; a club not open to the public where such beverages are sold in conjunction with the operation of the club; premises where malt beverages are sold by established organ- izations in conjunction with the operation of a picnic, fair or other amusement enterprise. (62) Tourist Camp: An area'or premises on which are located permanent buildings, either single cabins or buildings comprising two or more units under one roof, together with accessory'buildings, for'temporary accomodat ion of tourists, but not for permanent occupancy except the owner or occupant of the premises or his employees. (63) Trailer Camp: An area or premises on which is provided space for the temporary accomodation of trailers for tourists, together with the necessary accessory buildings, but not for permanent occupancy. (64) Vision Clearance Triangle: Shall be the area in each quadrant of an intersection
