Dane County Planning & Development
Room 116, City -County Building, Madison, Wisconsin 53703-3342 Land Division Review
608,266-9086
October 19, 2009
J. Dean
206 Jackson Street
Madison, Wisconsin 53704
Re: # 061032199050
NE1I4 S32 T6N R10E
Town of Dunn
Dane County
Dear J. Dean:
In response to your communication of 10/13/09 (copy attached), please note the
following:
1. A copy of the September 17,1969 warranty deed, which properly created the 15.6
acres parcel that you currently own, is enclosed. Nothing in the public record
supports your claim that this deed is incorrect.
2. Robert Maier has sold several land parcels in this neighborhood. These land
parcels were properly conveyed by warranty deeds.
3. A warranty deed was required to create a separate land parcel in 1964.
4. Cheney Map # 6441 is not a certified survey map. Mr. Cheney did not tell you
that Cheney Map # 6441 is a certified survey map. Anthony Thousand Map No.
4-3872 is not a certified survey map. A certified survey map is a specific legal
document, prepared in accordance with the provisions of S.236.34, Wisconsin
Statutes.
5. Dane County Corporation Counsel has advised that the recording of a corrected
warranty deed for the purpose of creating a separate parcel of record is not a
valid legal option.
Thank you for your anticipated patience and for your anticipated cooperation in
this matter.
Sins
Norbert Scribner, Dane County Land Division Review
cc: Clerk, Town of Dunn
Cheney Land Surveying
Dane County Corporation Counsel
Enclosure:
