Johnson—Town of <br /> Christiana: Proposed Change From the A-1 EX Exclusive <br /> Agricultural to the C-1 Commercial and A-2 Agricultural and <br /> Requested Amendment to Zoning Petition No. 7357 <br /> Dear Mr. Gregorius and Members of the Dane County Zoning and Natural <br /> Resources Committee: <br /> We are the contract buyers of the approximately two acre parcel of land that <br /> is proposed to be rezoned to commercial by the above-referenced zoning petition. <br /> We are writing to express our reasons for requesting the proposed rezoning and <br /> kindly ask for your consideration and vote to approve the proposed rezoning. In <br /> addition, we wish to address each of the concerns that are identified and described <br /> in the Staff Comments respecting the proposed rezoning. <br /> Background <br /> First, we would like to explain the reasons for our seeking a rezoning for <br /> this particular parcel. We currently lease an approximately one-half acre parcel <br /> and building in the Town of Christiana for our business, NAPA Auto Parts. We <br /> have leased at this location for the last five years. Our lease terminates in May of <br /> 1999, and the owner has informed us that he will not renew the lease. <br /> NAPA Auto Parts must remain located in the Town of Christiana/Village of <br /> Cambridge area. All our ties are to this community. We have resided in the Town <br /> of Christiana for thirty years, have owned and operated NAPA Auto Parts in the <br /> Town of Christiana for five years, and owned and operated the Village Pharmacy <br /> in the Village of Cambridge for eight years.
