Payne & Dolan is a family <br /> owned company which has been in the business of aggregate production and hot- <br /> mix asphalt since 1930. <br /> . <br /> They own and operate two hot-mix asphalt plants in Dane County. One located in <br /> the City of Fitchburg, the other located in the Town of Vienna. Both plants are new <br /> since 1990. Both facilities have won national awards for ecological plants of the <br /> year by the National Asphalt Paving Association. <br /> Payne & Dolan operates a number of gravel pits and quarries in Dane County, <br /> located in the City of Fitchburg, Town of Dunkirk, Town of Oregon, and the Town <br /> of Vienna. Their operations have been found to not be detrimental to the public <br /> health, safety, comfort, or general welfare. Nor have their operations impaired the <br /> uses or values of neighboring property or impeded the development of <br /> surrounding property.
