MAR 23 '98 03:10PM TOWN OF WESTPORT ' P.5/21 <br /> )wns or controls ownership in approximately 900 acres of property surrounding and to the <br /> south of this parcel as shown approximately on Exhibit B, hereto; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Town Plan Commission would like to retain jurisdictional and <br /> Manning control of the property, as well as the surrounding property all shown on Exhibit <br /> 3, for the Town and Dane County, but feels that in order to do so, it must approve a <br /> ,,omprehensive plan for development and preservation in the area shown on Exhibit B; <br /> m <br /> • <br /> WHEREAS, based on the Plan Commission findings noted herein, the Town of <br /> Westport Plan Commission has now recommended to the Town of Westport Board of <br /> Supervisors that, based on the above, it recommend to Dane County that CUP #1415, <br /> located as shown at Exhibit A, be approved conditioned on several bases, all.of which are <br /> included below (with additional conditions as approved by the Town Board); and, <br /> WHEREAS, based on the recommendation of the Plan Commission, and based on <br /> he information presented at the various public meetings held by the Town, including the <br /> joint meeting of the Town Plan Commission and Board on April 10, 1997, where further <br /> information and public input was received regarding CUP #1415, the Board finds as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. CUP #1415, with the certain conditions and restrictions as referenced below, will <br /> meet all the standards under the Dane County Code of Ordinances ("D.C. Code") <br /> to allow the proposed use in an A-1 EX zoning district (copy of standards attached <br /> as Exhibit C), specifically including the following: <br /> a. Section 10.123(3)(a) 1.A., D.C. Code. The private school use, in that its <br /> development, by aiding in the preservation of the Town's territorial <br /> integrity, will help preserve productive agricultural land and productive <br /> farms, will not conflict with surrounding agricultural uses, will not increase <br /> service costs, and otherwise is not inconsistent with the Statement of <br /> Purpose for the A-1 EX District found at Section 10.123(1)(a), D.C. Code. <br /> b. Section 10.123(3)(a) 1.B., D.C. Code. The private school use, because of <br /> the approved conditions which will minimize impact on the agricultural <br /> community, will not conflict with the area's general agricultural usage. . <br /> ,c. Section 10.123(3)(a) 1.C., D.C. Code.
