February 27, 1998 <br /> Dane County Zoning <br /> 210 Martin Luther King Blvd, <br /> Madison,WI 53711 <br /> Dear Sirs: <br /> We are submitting a request to rezone a 37.83 acre parcel at the corner of Paoli and Speedway road in the <br /> Town of Montrose with the following legal description. <br /> The Southwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 5, except the North 2 acres thereof,Town 5 North Range <br /> 8 East,Town of Montrose,Dane County,Wisconsin. <br /> In this rezoning request we are asking that a 1.01 acre portion be rezoned from A-1 Exclusive to R-1A.As <br /> the attached survey from Talarczyk and Associates shows,this will leave a 35.0a.acre portion in A-1 <br /> Exclusive zoning net of the two public roads bounding the property. <br /> I am attaching the request for rezoning that will go to the Town of Montrose Board on March 3, 1998. It <br /> contains a variety of information required by the county as part of a rezoning request. <br /> • A legal description of the parcel. <br /> • A drawing of the parcel showing gross acreage,net acreage(after deduction for roads),the portion <br /> requested to be rezoned,the acreage of the portion to be rezoned and the net A-1 Exclusive acreage. <br /> • A meets and bounds description of the area to be rezoned provided by Talarczyk&Associates. <br /> • A statement of the reason for the request along with supplementary information. <br /> This request went before the Town of Montrose Land Use Committee on February 23. This request was <br /> approved by the committee although,as the attached documentation shows, it contains a technical error. <br /> Briefly,the resolution approved rezoning the 1 acre portion to RH-1. I discovered on February 24,that the <br /> Dane County minimum acreage for RH-1 is two acres. As a result,we have modified the request to rezone <br /> the acre as R-1A.
