Group I Summary <br /> Detailed Findings <br /> June 4, 1997 <br /> Participants <br /> The majority of this group were active volunteers and had contact with either Hospice or Attic <br /> Angels, or both. The ages of the participants were mixed, some nearing retirement age and some <br /> were a little older. There were ten participants, 8 women, and 2 men. <br /> Betty, divorced with no children, used HospiceCare for her mother last year <br /> Mary, married with two grown children, recently placed her mother in a facility in Madison and <br /> is likely to place her mother-in-law there also, involved with UW preventive cardiology and <br /> cardiac rehab, supports and contributes to Hospice <br /> Suzy, has three children and two grandchildren, husband works for Oscar Meyer, active Attic <br /> Angel volunteer <br /> Mary, retired elementary school teacher, married with grown children and expecting first <br /> grandchild, supervises student teachers at the UW, has a personal image consulting business <br /> Petey, married with grown children and expecting her tenth grandchild, donates to Hospice, <br /> active in her church's food pantry <br /> Mary, her children are grown, past Attic Angels volunteer, currently works with Olbrich Gardens <br /> and theater clubs <br /> Otto, retired, about to complete service on both the Dane County Court Commission and <br /> Madison Area Lutheran Council after several terms, writing his family genealogy, has made <br /> small contributions to Hospice <br /> Charlie, retired from American Family, has adult children across the country, golfs, gardens, is <br /> involved at church <br /> Rosemary, mother of two, developed a joint disability later in life, returned to law school, <br /> involved with the symphony orchestra, sang opera for many years, volunteers at church <br /> Betty, seasonal Wisconsin resident, winters in Sun Lakes, Arizona, golfs, plays bridge <br /> Chamberlain Research Consultants Page 3 <br />
