As you are aware the proposed administrative rule has not yet been adopted by the
Board and the issues which were of concern when the last extension was granted are still
unresolved. It would therefore appear that the same logic would apply now as it pertains to
several issues raised in your letter. This means that adoption of all of the changes you listed may
either not be necessary if the rules are amended or they could be inconsistent with the
administrative rules as they might be amended.
If you or the Board feel you can predict the time when the rule will be adopted we believe that
six months to a year would be needed after adoption to complete the ordinance amendments.
If you have any question please feel free to contact me or Gary Gunderman.
n c'PiL
(,Jeanie Sieling r
Interim Director
Dane County Planning and Development Department
cc.
