Add water or apply water sprays to crushing <br /> operations, including crushers, conveyors and <br /> screens, where fugitive dust emissions could exceed <br /> federal, state or local limits. <br /> c. Apply asphalt millings, asphalt paving, asphalt <br /> emulsion, or water spray and sweeping to plant <br /> roadways that are frequented by haul-out trucks or <br /> by plant equipment. <br /> d. Cover or apply water spray to stockpiles that may <br /> lose excessive amounts of dust during windy <br /> conditions. <br /> e. Cover loads on haul-out trucks where excessive dust <br /> may be generated during transport on public roads. <br /> f. If the haul road on applicant's property develops <br /> noticeable fugitive dust which can't be handled by <br /> the above methods, other steps may be taken <br /> including calcium chloride, paving or seal coating. <br /> Noise will also be controlled by the depth of the pit and <br /> the height of the surrounding berm. Equipment will have <br /> noise abaters required by federal, state and local law. <br /> 9. Plans for topsoil salvage and storage. <br /> At the outset of the mining process, the over-burden <br /> (topsoil) shall be stripped and stockpiled as either <br /> topsoil or subsoil away from the extraction areas so that <br /> it will be maintained and correctly used for the <br /> reclamation plan satisfaction. Upon closure of a <br /> particular area, the subsoil and topsoil will be restored <br /> as part the reclamation process. <br /> 10. Description of measures to be taken to screen the <br /> operation, if necessary. <br /> Screening for the site should not be of major concern <br /> except for around Area III (the area abutting Cam-Rock <br /> Park) . The applicant proposes to plant seedlings in the <br /> 80 ' setback along roadway right-of-ways in Area III. <br /> Almost all of the properties located within a quarter <br /> mile of any activity connected to this operation are <br /> owned by the Petitioner. Seedlings will be planted along <br /> the boundaries of the two properties not owned by <br /> Petitioner within the quarry site. <br /> 24 N.
