•
# 3 . "This property is located in remote farm land. There
are only two houses in the area. "
Comment : This property is not located in remote farm land .
The proposed quarry site falls inside of the
extraterritorial rights of both Rockdale and Cambridge(they
overlap) and is 1/4 mile from the edge of Rockdale . One
quarter mile can in no way be considered "remote" . There are
more than two houses in the area . While it is true that only
two houses abut the proposed quarry site , there are many
more residences which would be affected by this quarry .
Page 3 , #7 . We support the Town Board ' s recommendations for
the time period of the CUP.
Page 4 , #8 Ingress and egress . . .We strongly support the
recommendations of the Town Board .
Page 5 , last paragraph concerning the legal authority of the
Town Board to restrict the use of town roads by applicant .
There are many precedences for restrictions as indicated in
CUP' s 1003 , 998 and 1038 . We support the Town Board
recommendations .
Page 6 , #10 . The owner/applicant shall notify in writing
the Town of Christiana clerk;applicant does not wish to do
so .
Comment : The Clerk of the Town should be notified ,as it
"certifies" that the others have been notified and allows
the Clerk to inform any one who might need to have this
information. Communications with the residents of the town
is the business of the Clerk and citizens from any place in
the town should be able to have information concerning
blasting .
Page 6 , #11 . We find some confusion here in the applicant ' s
response . Number 11 , A and B, addresses property values and
# 12 addresses setbacks . Later , the applicant says that " if
residential property owners are provided for by # 11 , there
is no need for condition 12 . " The establishment of market
values has no relationship to setbacks . The market values
refer to a possible future sale of the property, and the
setbacks are required for current enjoyment of the property.
We support the Town Board ' s recommendation.
Page 7 #I3
"The applicant shall create and install berming along the
town road which shall be a minimum of 3 feet high and
commence 80 feet from the Township road right of way
