• { , 4 1 , g • • • • I Resolution 3S' , 199$1-9k- Adopting the agreement between the Dane County Regional Planning Commission and Dane County, Wisconsin. In the 1994 Dane County Budget, the County Board of Supervisors approved the creation of the Dane County Department of Planning and Development and has provided an appropriation of funds to the Department effective July 1, 1994. In its deliberations concerning the creation of the Department, it was determined by the County and the Dane County Regional Planning Commission that it is in the public interest to strengthen and improve county, regional and intergovernmental planning activities by providing for closer coordination and integration of planning activities, and by sharing staff and financial resources and avoiding duplication of functions and services. To accomplish this intent an agreement has been negotiated between the County and the Dane County Regional Planning Commission which is attached, (copy on file in the office of the County Clerk) , which provides for the integration of planning activities, sharing of staff and financial resources and related matters. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the proposed agreement between the County of Dane and the Dane County Regional Planning Commission is herein approved by the Dane County Board of Supervisors. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive and the County Clerk be authorized and directed to sign the agreement.
