• m.
BOARDMAN, SUHR, CURRY & FIELD
Lyman F. Anderson, Chairman
August 20, 1993 •
Page 2
2 . A town "mobile home ordinance" can be more restrictive
than county zoning ordinances only as to mobile home parks, not
as to individual mobile homes. See the last sentence of Wis.
Stat. S66. 058 (2) (c) .
3. A local government ordinance on mobile homes that
prohibits mobile homes outside of mobile home parks had been
ruled illegal. Separate correspondence from the Wisconsin
Manufactured Housing Association addressed to your Committee in
the file of this conditional use application will identify and
discuss relevant court rulings.
4. To force investment in a permanent building for this
use will contradict the direction of the Dane County Green Space
and the Dane County Park and Open Space Plans that were adopted
in Resolution 91, adopted October 17, 1991, and Resolution No.
90, adopted December 12, 1991, respectively, since a requirement
to build a permanent structure will increase costs to the county
taxpayers if and when the property is acquired for permanent
public open space, as called for in these two county board-
adopted plans.
The aerial photograph that I displayed during the public
hearing has been submitted to the Dane County Zoning Office as
part of the permanent file on this application.
Again, we urge you to support the conditional use applica-
tion for the caretaker's quarters as proposed by the applicant.
Sincerel • •ur ,
BOARD i ' /° ' , .
