aware of the restrictions in the documentation of the town hall
permit.
We feel strongly that any restrictions that might be imposed
only by the Town Board or Town Parks Commission would have no
real permanence, and could be modified quite easily in the
future, once the lights were already in place.
Timing. We recognize that it may take the Town Board some
time to consider these requests, and to have their counsel review
the necessary documents. For that reason, we ask the Town Board
to obtain a delay of the vote on its conditional use application
for 2 to 4 weeks. This will give everyone involved time to make
a good faith effort to resolve this matter amicably, as we hope
we can. We would have submitted this written set of suggestions
earlier, however it now appears for the first time that the Town
Board will consider our suggestions, and we have met to form a
consensus of the neighbors on reasonable restrictions. Surely
the County Zoning Committee would be happy to delay its vote if
it was advised that there were good faith negotiations underway
between the Town Board and the neighboring landowners.
Thank you for considering these requests.
4
