INSPECTION OF JOHN ROWLEY SALVAGE YARD
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 419 - Section 31, Town of Verona
January 21, 1993
Inspection Conducted by Bill Fleck and Mary Sara
The inspection was conducted with respect to the existing
conditions required pursuant to CUP 419, see attached copy.
CONDITION REPORT
NUMBER
1 . A woven wire fence was in place around approximately 80%
of the salvage area. There were two sections of
approximately 20 feet each where Mr. Rowley had opened
the fence to provide access for farm equipment or
machinery. Some of the fence was in need of repair, but
it was in place.
2 . Vehicles were not stacked on top of each other.
Visibility protection for other properties located on the
North and East side of the yard is an impossibility until
trees planted by Mr. Rowley can grow to 12 feet or more
in height, condition #1 does provide for plantings to
grow. Both of these properties currently have
substantial wooded area next to the Rowley property.
3 . The access road is in compliance.
4 . We have received no complaints and presume this has been
complied with.
5 . Vehicle storage was substantially in compliance. There
were two areas, one on the South side and one on the East
side where 3 or 4 vehicles were pushed into the fence and
encroached out 4 to 5 feet over the boundary of the yard.
Other than that there were no junk vehicles or junk
vehicle parts beyond the prescribed limits of the yard.
There was a tow truck parked South of the yard fence,
technically, this should be kept within the yard.
Everything else stored or parked outside of the yard area
had a legitimate ag use or purpose and would not be
regulated by CUP 419 .
6 . Presumed compliance, we did not see any vehicles that
would be in this category.
7 . We have had no complaints, presume compliance.
8 . In compliance.
9 . Not pertinent.
