COUNTY OF DANE <br /> CORRESPONDENCE MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: January 21, 1993 <br /> TO: Cal Kornstedt, <br /> Corporation Counsel <br /> FROM: Bill Fleck, <br /> Zoning Administrator <br /> SUBJECT: Request for opinion regarding City and Village <br /> jurisdiction pursuant to 66. 052 OFFENSIVE INDUSTRY, Wis. <br /> Statutes. <br /> The Village of Dane apparently wishes to have a control over land <br /> use within 4 miles of their village limits, please see the attached <br /> letter from the village to the Town of Dane. The Village of <br /> Waunakee is also interjecting themselves into the review of the <br /> proposed new quarry by Payne and Dolan in the Town of Vienna. The <br /> quarry site is approximately 1 1/4 mile from the village limits. <br /> The Waunakee Plan Commission has recommended that the Village Board <br /> deny the conditional use permit. <br /> I need to know what might be considered a nauseous, offensive or <br /> unwholesome use and whether or not a quarry would be considered as <br /> such. The Zoning Committee will be meeting on Tuesday evening to <br /> consider the Payne and Dolan CUP, I would greatly appreciate it if <br /> you could respond by that time. <br />
