DANE COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT The Dane County Board of Adjustment met on May 15, 1970 at 7:30 P. M. in Room 226,(Circuit Court, Branch IV) to conduct a public hearing as pub- lished in the notice. The following members were present: Messrs. Erickson, Holte, Dahlk. Also present, Enger, Fleck. Meeting called to order. Motion by Mr. Dahlk to approve the minutes of April 17 and May 9, 1970 meetings. Second by Mr. Holte, carried. Notice was read and the Public Hearing opened. The following cases were heard. 1. Appeal by the Mt. Vernon Telephone Co. from denial of permit to con- struct a building on Lot 1, Block 2, Village of Mt. Vernon, Section 34 Township of Springdale. Permit was denied because setback was less than required by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. IN FAVOR: Mr. Hutchins, Mgr. Mt. Vernon Telephone Co., stated they had followed the plans as drawn by the architect. THOSE OPPOSED: none TOWN BOARD: letter presented stating the Town Board was in favor. DANE COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPT. letter presented stating approval. otion by Mr. Holte to allow setback of 15' for the side yard. Second by Mr. Dahlk, carried. 2. Appeal by Walter Laufenberg from denial of permit for construction of a hogshed and an addition to barn. Permit denied because setbacks were less than required by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. Laufenberg explained that the hogshed would be located behind the setback line of existing buildings, the addition to the barn at the other end would cause a hardship because of existing silos and feed lot. lad spoken with the Town Board and had their approval. •PPOSED: none otion by Mr. Dahlk to allow setback of 34' 6" for the hogshed and 11' set- !.ack for the addition to the barn.
