BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT HEARING, June 12, 1968 <br /> The Dane County Board of Adjustment met in Room 226, City-County Building <br /> Madison, Wisconsin at 7:30 P.M., June 12, 1968 to conduct a hearing as pub- <br /> lished in the notice. The following members of the board were present: <br /> CI 0. K. Anderson, Chairman; Millard Erickson, Vice Chairman; Hermann Eisner, <br /> Secretary. Also present, L. J. Enger, Zoning Assistant; Mri.• Harvey Schmidt <br /> and Mr. Don Pierstorff of the Town of Madison; Mr. Russell Kahl,Chairman of <br /> the Town of Primrose. <br /> The meeting was called to order, notice read and the following cases called: <br /> 1. Appeal by James Bryant from a denial of a permit to build an addition to a <br /> home on a parcel of land in the NW1,4 of the NM1/ of Section 9, Town of Primrose. <br /> Permit denied because setback from roads are less than required by Dane County <br /> Zoning Ordinance. <br /> THOSE IN FAVOR: Mr. and Mrs. Bryant explained plans for an addition to the <br /> home, an old cheese factory. They also presented signatures of adjoining <br /> property owners in favor of addition. Mr. Kahl said that the Town Board was <br /> in favor of the addition. <br /> THOSE OPPOSED: None <br /> ACTION BY THE BOARD: Mr. Eisner moved and Mr. Erickson seconded and the vote <br /> was unanimous to approve. <br /> 2. Appeal by Albert Ruegsegger from a denial of a permit to build a home on a <br /> parcel of land in the SW1A of the SE% of Section 34, Town of Perry. Permit deni d <br /> because setback from road is less than required by Dane County Zoning Ordinancl . <br /> Cr THOSE IN FAVOR: Mr. and Mrs. Ruegsegger explained their plans to utilize as <br /> much of the foundation of the present home as possible. This home will be torn <br /> down and the new home will require a setback of 51 feet rather than 55 feet. <br /> The Town of Perry did not appear, but Mr. Daley had not been opposed to the <br /> variance when contacted by the Zoning Department. <br /> THOSE OPPOSED: None <br /> ACTION BY THE BOARD: Mr. Eisner moved and Mr. Erickson seconded and the vote <br /> was unanimous to approve. <br /> 3. Appeal by Charles and Jerry Lease from a denial of a permit to build an <br /> apartment building on a parcel of land in the SW1,4 of the NE% of Section 36, <br /> Town of Madison. Permit denied because rear yard is less than required by <br /> Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> THOSE IN FAVOR: Mr. Charles Lease and Mr. Gausewitz, Architect appeared and <br /> explained the plans for the building and parking facillities. Mr. Schmidt of <br /> the Town of Madison appeared in favor and asked that a condition be made that <br /> the space between the present motel building (40 feet) be divided equally if <br /> at some future date the property should be divided for purposes of sale. The <br /> Town of Madison will add such a provision to their building permit. <br /> THOSE OPPOSED: None <br /> 411,/, ACTION BY THE BOARD: Mr. Erickson moved and Mr. Eisner seconded that the appe4l <br /> be granted with the division suggested by Mr. Schmidt. The vote was unanimous <br /> to approve. <br />
