BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT INSPECTION TRIP
otwk
410, June 26 , 1967
The Dane County Board of Adjustment met at the offices of the
Town of Madison on June 26 , 1967 for the purpose of viewing prop-
erties to be considered at the Board of Adjustment Public Hearing
scheduled for June 28, 1967. The following members of the board
were present: Martin J. Ripp, Chairman, and O.K. Anderson, Member.
Also present was William G. Massarene , Zoning Assistant. The
Board conducted inspections of the properties listed below.
1. Part of Lot 2 , Kegonsa Park , Pleasant Springs , subject of
Bremer petition to permit addition to an existing structure said
to be non-conforming by reason of inadequate side yard clearance.
Owner, Edwin Brewer was present and assisted the board by pointing
out boundaries and by describing the proposed addition. It was
noted that the existing residence comes within a few inches of
meeting the five foot side yard requirement of this lot. Also,
that the proposed addition would not increase nonconformance with
regard to sideyards.
2. Part of NE 1/4 NE 1/4 Sec. 8, Windsor, subject of Hamre Feed
Service petition to allow placement of road sign within 50 feet
of right-of-way of intersecting U.S. Highway 51, instead of at
the 100 foot distance required by the ordinance. It was noted
that placement of the sign at the location proposed would not
cause a traffic hazard.
3. N 1/2 Lot 8 and E 16 1/2 ft. of N 1/2 Lot 7, Block 1,
Village of Windsor Plat , Sec. 29 , Windsor, subject of Wheeler
petition to allow construction of a duplex residence in a single
family residential district (R3) . No objectionable results
appeared likely to ensue from the proposed construction.
4. Parcel in the NE 1/4 NE 1/4 Sec. 28, Vermont, subject of
petition to build with a 20 foot setback, rather than the required
30 feet. It was noted that a steep drop exists at about 20 feet
from the front lot line. Also, that the section of road upon
which the land fronts is a little used dead end spur from County
Trunk J.
The Board of Adjustment returned to the office of the Town of
Madison, and adjourned.
Ay/ Io Secretary, Hermann Eisner
