MINUTES OF THE DANE COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> AUGUST 19? 1977 <br /> Present: Erickson, Dahlk, Voges <br /> Also present: Fleck <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:20 P.M. by Chairman Erickson in room <br /> #226, City-County Building to hold a public hearing as published by Class <br /> II notice. Motion by Dahlk, second by Voges to approve the minutes of <br /> July 15 and August 16, 1977. Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Voges second by Dahlk to approve Zoning Department budget as <br /> proposed. Motion carried. <br /> #578. Motion by Voges, second by Dahlk to amend variance appeal #578 <br /> and grant a variance of 9 feet. Motion carried. <br /> #581. Motion by Voges second by Dahlk to reconsider appeal #581 and <br /> grant a variance of 1 foot as per finding of fact. <br /> 1. Existing stairs andchck may not be permitted. <br /> 2. Access must be provided to front door. <br /> 3. Proposed parallel deck and stairs require minimal encroachment <br /> into setback area. <br /> CONCLUSION: <br /> a. Proven case of unnecessary hardship. ' <br /> b. Variance preserves the zoning ordinance as much as possible ►` <br /> without injustice to applicant. <br /> c. Variance is not contrary to rights of others or to the public <br /> interest. f <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The notice was read and the public hearing was opened. <br /> #589. Appeal by Charles Bollig for a variance from required setback <br /> from the centerline of STH 73 as provided by Section 10.17 (1) (b) <br /> Dane County Zoning Ordinance. Variance is necessary to permit addition <br /> to a residence located in the SE 1/4 NW 1/4 of Section 3, Town of Medina. <br /> IN FAVOR; C. Bollig existing house is non-conforming in location; pur- <br /> pose of appeal is to permit addition of a room on the second story. <br /> Addition will not extend beyond limits of existing house. <br /> OTHER IN FAVOR: None OPPOSED: None TOWN BOARD: Not present. <br /> #590. Appeal by Robert K. Aberg for a special exception permit to place <br /> fill in the shoreland area of Swan Creek located in the SW 1/4 NE 1/4 <br /> and NW 1/4 SE 1/4 Section 7, Town of Dunn. Permit required by Section <br /> 10.16 (7) (g) Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> IN FAVOR: R. Aberg expects objection on possible development of land; <br /> am not a developer and have no intention of developing this area. The j <br /> only pending division would he with Mr. Frandy, the former owner, who <br /> has a 1 1/2 year option to purchase back 15 plus acres. Will willingly <br /> give first option to purchase to any organization, manicipality, etc. <br /> on any or all of the land. <br />
