McFadden for a variance from <br /> required sideyard as provided by Section 10.16 (5) to permit <br /> addition to existing residence at 2782 Waubesa Avenue being <br /> Lot #21 Third Addition Waubesa Beach Section 8, Town of <br /> Dunn. <br /> IN FAVOR: S. McFadden OPPOSED: --- COMMUNICATION: Town <br /> Board <br /> SAYLES/LONG to deny variance from required sideyard to <br /> permit residential addition as proposed. <br /> Finding of Fact: <br /> 1) . Applicant constructed new 2 story residence in 1992 and <br /> now proposed to add 12 .5' x 36' , 2-story addition. <br /> 2) . Minimum required sideyard is 5 feet and requested <br /> encroachment is 1 .5 feet bringing residence within 3.5 feet <br /> to property line. <br /> 3) . Appears 13± feet of buildable area, without variance, <br /> towards lake. <br /> 4) . Average setback to normal high watermark is 47 feet. <br /> 5) . Existing living area is 1300± square feet and proposal <br /> is to add 638 square feet. <br /> Conclusion: <br /> 1) . Unnecessary hardship was not proven. <br /> Motion carried - 4-0 (Klopp - abstain) . <br /> #3051 . Appeal by Travel Centers of America for a variance <br /> from required maximum number of wall signs allowed as <br /> provided by Section 10.74 (23) and 10.77 (9) to permit <br /> additional signage at 5901 US Highway 51 in the SE k NE 'i <br /> Section 8, Town of Burke. <br /> IN FAVOR: L. Datsvall, P. Dean, J. Chesney OPPOSED: --- <br /> COMMUNICATION: --- <br /> KAY/ROSS to deny requested Variance from maximum number of <br /> wall signs permitted to permit signage on multi-use <br /> business . <br /> Finding of Fact: <br /> 1) . Applicant proposes 9 separate wall signs, on truck stop <br /> building, where ordinance allows only 2 . <br /> 2) . Truck stop offers multi-uses, fast food franchises, <br /> full service restaurant, convenience store and vehicle <br /> repair services. <br /> 3) . Each franchise and usage requires individual <br /> recognizable signage. <br /> 4) . The Dane County Sign Ordinance is 10 years old and <br /> doesn' t address such multi-use facilites . <br /> 5) . Signage could comply with Ordinance requirements with <br /> co-location of signs or initiate perhaps Ordinance Amendment <br /> to accommodate such multi-use facilities. <br /> Conclusion: <br />
