r
The wetland habitat in the project area is of high to medium habitat
value for evaluation species and is relatively abundant on an ecoregion
basis. Therefore, the Service recommends no net loss of habitat value.
Federal Threatened and Endangered Species
Based on a review of our files, we concur with the statement in the
public notice that no federally listed species are present in the
project area. In addition, no federally proposed threatened or
endangered species are expected to be present at the site. This
precludes the need for further action on this project as required by the
1973 Endangered Species Act, as amended. Should the project be modified
or new information become available that indicates listed or proposed
species may be affected, consultation should be initiated.
A copy of any permit issued for this project should be sent to the
Service's Green Bay Field Office.
Sincerely,
jaitat)1/
Janet M. Smith
Field Supervisor
cc: Cathy Garra, US EPA, Chicago, IL
Wisconsin DNR, Southern District, Fitchburg, WI
Dane County Zoning Administrator, Madison, WI
