COADS6POMD� CVMMAA JDJM County of Dane <br /> DATE: January 3, 1989 <br /> TO: Dane County Agriculture, Environment & Land Records Committee <br /> FROM: Allan Czecholinski C <br /> Public Works <br /> SUBJECT: Conditional Use Permits for Clay Soil Extraction <br /> Application for a Conditional use Permit for clay soil extraction on a parcel of land <br /> owned by Steven and Colette Link in Section 33, Town of Cottage Grove has been made. <br /> This is not preferred action on the part of Dane County PWlic Works because the site <br /> is very small and will provide only about one-third of the total clay needed at the <br /> Rodefeld Landfill. However, because of the amount of time needed for application, <br /> public hearings, and CUP approval plus the additional time needed for bidding and <br /> award of contract for the clay extraction, we felt that it was mandatory that we apply <br /> before the decision is made on CUP's 705-709 on January 24 to assure that the landfill <br /> will be able to operate in 1989. <br />
