TOWN OF COTTAGE GROVE ORDINANCE # c4,575...?./ <br /> FENCING HAZARDOUS AREAS <br /> On July 1‘, 1985 , the Town Board of the Town of Cottage <br /> Grove passed Resolution No . 4$ / which establishes ah Ordinance <br /> to require the fencing of hazardous areas within the Town to be <br /> • hereafter refered to as Town Ordinance # 1%,2 ( as follows : <br /> WHEREAS there now exist and may, in the future exist , <br /> within the Town of Cottage Grove , areas whose natural topography <br /> has been altered by the landowner or with the landowner ' s per- <br /> mission , and which , due to such modifications and to their proxi - <br /> mity to residential areas , may pose a danger to the residents of <br /> said residential areas or their invitees unless properly fenced ; <br /> NOW THEREFORE , <br /> THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF COTTAGE GROVE , DANE COUNTY <br /> WISCONSIN , DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : <br /> Section I : Hazardous Area , Definition : For the purposes <br /> of this ordinance , a hazardous area is : ( 1 ) any area whose <br /> natural topography has been altered by the activities of the lan- <br /> downer or with the permission of the landowner •or such landowner ' s <br /> predecessors- in title , so that there exists at any point on such <br /> land for a length of more than ten feet , a slope which goes down <br /> more than one foot in a horizontal length of two feet or less and <br /> which slope is •.more than 8 feet in height ; and , ( 2 ) which is <br /> • <br /> located in such proximity to residential areas that within one <br /> Quarter mile of any property line thereof , there normally reside <br /> more than 30 persons . <br /> /, <br /> i/ <br /> • / - 1 - <br />
