page 2
4. I question the research Epic Systems, Inc. has done regarding the writing
of computer software. I have done similar writin myself and have done so
in university offices, a busy television studio, and in my home study
blocked from the noise of my children by an electric fan. Although I
respect the company for working to establish a beautiful, restful
atmosphere for their employees, I can not support their statement that
workers will be more productive and thus help our health industry by
being able to write in a rural environment. If I have missed a piece
of research, I will be happy to be re-educated and add that information
to :ny notes. A writer needs a good workspace for certain; however, an
industrial park with an adequately equiped office is sufficient for
most of us who write for a living.
5. I wish Epic Systems, Inc. the best of everything as they find a new
home. If the company experiences successes it will expand rapidly
and add many square feet to the proposed 10,000 square foot facility.
,More buildings may be added, more roadways, parking lots and the like.
More employee traffic, more service traffic, more business traffic.
I hope that these successes and growth patterns will be a part of
of a carefully designed industrial park. It is my deepest hope that
the site of this park is not across the road from ray families'home.
In closing, I ask that the Agriculture, Environment and Land Records
Committee carefully consider the wishes of those of us who already pay tax
dollars (or will be in the near future) . We have a right to protect our
inteltANE COUNTY
LAND REG. &RECORDS
AUG 201986 as k4
ifECEI4EL; r
ZONING DIV. iL / `r;
