Preserve the productive farmlands in the township for <br /> continued agricultural use . <br /> 2 . Protect farm operations from conflict with incompatible <br /> uses . <br /> 3 . Control sporadic development by providing for moderate <br /> growth in areas not suited to sustaining a farm opera- <br /> tion. <br /> 4. Protect the natural environment . <br /> Plan Districts <br /> To achieve the Town' s Land Use Objectives , several planning <br /> districts have been established. The purpose and policies of each I ' <br /> of these districts are stated below. The Town Board and Town Plan- <br /> ning Committee are responsible for assuring that the use of land <br /> within any district is consistent with the purpose and policies of <br /> that district . <br /> Agricultural Preservation District <br /> Purpose : Protect farm operations from the encroachment of <br /> incompatible uses and help qualify farmers for the <br /> State agricultural tax credit program. <br /> Policies : The uses of land permitted in the agricultural pres- <br /> ervation district will be primarily limited to ag- <br /> ricultural production and dwelling units which serve <br /> as the places of residence for the owners and employees <br /> • of the farm. <br /> • <br /> • Farmers within the Town should be encouraged to follow <br /> • soil conservation plans or to utilize soi'1 conserva- <br /> tion practices . <br /> Town ordinances that restrict noise , odors , keeping <br /> of animals or other activities that could inhibit <br /> normal farm operations should not apply in exclusive <br /> agricultural areas designated on the plan map. <br /> Any land considered for re-zoning to - residential <br /> nhnll moot: ono or morn of [lie following criL.crlu. <br /> • It should be : <br />
