The frequent removal of leachate should <br /> substantially reduce the odor problems but obviously cannot eliminate <br /> all odors associated with the corn sileage. Nor can the installation <br /> of this system be expected to eliminate all insect breeding in the area. <br /> Due to the substantial capital outlay that will be required of <br /> Mr. Fredenberg to construct this collection system, it is essential that <br /> the neighbors who have been affected by odors and/or flies in the past <br /> be fully aware of what this system can and cannot be expected to <br /> accomplish in terms of control. It is equally important that Henry <br /> Fredenberg be aware that failure to comply with the terms of a conditional <br /> use permit can result in its revocation. <br /> This Division will be glad to assist the Town of Cottage Grove <br /> and the other involved agencies in monitoring construction and <br /> operation of the facility.
