Goal of the ComDan'
Madison Crushing's goal is to extract bedrock, crush
and process the bedrock into crushed stone and sand; and
restore the subject property after the extraction and
processing operations have been completed. The company hopes
to function in a manner which limits the operations effects
on adjacent property owners . This plan is intended to direct
operations so that the rock will be extracted and the land
reclaimed with safe side slopes upon completion.
Description of Existing Operation
At present, access to the subject property is from the
east side of the parcel at the northeast corner entering
from Reiner Rd. and from the southeast corner entering on an
access road behind a berm with foliage . The operation has
been conducted on the entire parcel described with the
intention of accumulating stripped material on the outer
perimeter of the leased area . (The leased area extends to
Burke Rd. to the North and Reiner Rd. to the east and line
fences to the south and west, excluding the Wiganowsky
property) . The present working face is located in the middle
of the subject property running east and west and moving
north.
ProDsed Method of Operation
Madison Crushing proposes to restrict its crushing,
drilling, and blasting operations to the hours between
7 : 00am and the earlier of 9 :00 pm or sunset, Monday through
Friday, and to 8 hours on Saturday, also between 7 :00 am and
the earlier of 9 :00 pm or sunset. Blasting will be done in
accordance with the applicable restrictions contained in the
Wisconsin Administrative Code Regulations . When blasting,
seismographic readings will be maintained below 0.40 in
/sec. . The seismograph will be located at the south end of
the Wiganowsky property. This level is 20% below the ceiling
allowed by The Wisconsin Administrative code for blasting
activities . When blasting is to be done, the neighbors will
be notified in writing no less than twelve hours in advance
of the proposed blasting operation. The company will notify
those neighbors who wish to be notified on Felland Rd, from
5152 Felland Rd. to Burke Rd. , On Burke Rd. from Felland
Rd. to Reiner Rd. , on Reiner Rd. , from Burke Rd. to 5107
Reiner Rd. and all homes on Sandy Lee Lane .
