• <br /> SECTION 10.25 <br /> • <br /> under civil service, and vacancies in.•,such office shall be filled by• procedures' <br /> established by the Civil Service Ordinance. The zoning committee shall be the <br /> • appointing authority for the position of zoning supervisor. <br /> (b) It shall be the duty of the zoning supervisor to: receive applications for <br /> zoning permits, and such other permits and licenses provided in this ordinance, <br /> and to issue such permits after applications have been examined arid approved; to <br /> inspect buildings under construction for compliance with the regulations of this, <br /> ordinance; to make periodic inspections; to take such action as _may be .necessary <br /> for .the enforcement of the regulations provided herein; to attend all meetings - - <br /> of the zoning committee and the board of adjustment; and to perform such other <br /> duties as:-the, zoning committee and the board of adjustment may direct. <br /> (2) ZONING PERMITS • <br /> (a) No new-building-shall hereafter be erected; .and no existing building shall be <br /> added to,i .structurally altered, mov.ed• or. changed in use, not shall any non-conforming • <br /> building be repaired or restored, in all districts, until a zoning permit has been <br /> issued, except as otherwise provided by law or ordinance. • <br /> (b) Permits shall not be required for accessory buildings to serve those uses per- <br /> mitted in 10.12 (1). (c), provided that the proposed building will not be located <br /> within a. mapped flood plain or within a. shoreland area as defined in 10.16 (7) .(a) <br /> and is located in conformance with the provisions of 10.12 (4) (a); 10.12 (5) (a) <br /> and 10.12 (6) . (a). -Permits shall be required if the location of any•building for <br /> the aforementioned uses if a variance or special.exception permit is granted by the <br /> Board of Adjustment: <br /> • <br /> (c) The zoning supervisor mayrequire the filing of a scale drawing of:the premises, <br /> showing the dimensions of the lot or parcel, the dimensions of the proposed building, <br /> the distance in .feet from the abutting street or 'highway and .from the -side'and rear <br /> lot line, the size and location of any existing buildings, and such other information <br /> as he deems necessary.. The zoning supervisor shall not be responsible for deter- <br /> mining the location of lot lines. <br /> (d) Application for permit must contain. the following: name and address of the <br /> owner of the property, legal description, size and location of the building to be <br /> erected or moved on or onto the property, proposed use of the building or premises,, <br /> type Of construction, .estimated cost and such other information as the zoning . <br /> • supervisor may require. <br /> (e)' Such application shall .be signed by the owner or his duly authorized representa- <br /> tive or agent; provided, however, that if a prospective •owner desires 'a ,prior ruling <br /> on a proposed construction or use before consummation of purchase; he may apply for <br /> a permit; and if such permit be denied, -he may appeal to the board of adjustment. <br /> “) .Coincident with'the_ issuing of. a permit the zoning supervisor .shall prepare a <br /> card, certifying' that a permit has been issued. Such card shall bear the same <br /> number as the permit and identify the construction.and premises _covered by the <br /> permit: Such card shall be• posted in a conspicuous place on the- premises during <br /> the construction, and no construction shall be 'begun until such :card has been ,posted. <br /> 29. <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br />
