SECTION 10.01 • (47) Sign (Directory) : A sign which directs attention to a business, service or enter- tainment. at a specific location or premises other than the premises or location at which the sign is located. • . • (48) Sign (On Premise) : A sign which .indicates the name of the establishment where the sign is located or to which. it is affixed and which also may direct attention to; a product not exclusively related to the premises where such sign is located or to which it is affixed, but sold or offered upon such premises. (49) Sign (Home Occupation) : A sign which directs attention to ri home occupation per- mitted,on the .premises 'to which the sign is affixed. (50) Sign (Real ;state): A sign which directs attention to real estate which is:for sale, lease, •rent or trade. (51) Sign (Development) : A sign which directs attention to a u future building or to a building under construction. (5?) Sign (Temporary) : A sign which directs attention to. an event to be held at a speci- fie. time and place. During election campaigns, posters or signs on behalf of candidates for public offices or on behalf of a. political belief shall also be considered as temporary signs. - (53) Sign (Crop Demonstration): A sign used to designate a variety, brand: or other identification of a field .crop, fertilizer, herbicide, pesticide being grown .or used at a specific location. (54) Slaughter House: Any building or. premises used commercially for the killing or . dressing of .cattle, sheep, swine, goats .or horses, for human consumption and the _storage, freezing and curing of meat and the preparation of meat products. . (55) Story: The vertical distahce of a building included between the surface of any floor and the floor next above it, or if there be no floor •ab.ove it, then the. Space, between such .floor and the ceiling, provided that .a basement shall not be -considered a story. (56) Story, Half: A story under a gable, hip or' mansard roof, the wall plates of_ which on at least two sides are not more than two het above the floor of .such story. (57) Street: A public or private thoroughfare which affords primary means of access to abutting property is.a street to that property for the 'purposes of this ordinance, except driveways to buildings. A::driveway to n farm building shall not be considered a street for the purpose. of .determining .setback, even' though such driveway may have- . been designated a town road for the. purpose of maintenance. (58) Street -Line: . The dividing line between the street and the lot. (59). Structure Anything erected 'or constructed, . the' use of. which requires more or less permanent location -on the ground.
