STCTI ON .10.01 <br /> twenty '(120) degrees or less, measured on the lot side., such curve shall be construed as <br /> a connecting street. <br /> (7) Boarding House: A building or premises where meals are served by prearrangement for <br /> definite periods of time for compensation for five (5) or more persons, but not exceed- <br /> ing twenty (20) persons, not open to transients, in contradiction to hotels and restaur- <br /> ants open ,to transients. <br /> (8) Building: Anything erected or constructed, the use of which requires more or less <br /> permanent location on the ground. The building area 'of a building.'shall be that area <br /> bounded by the exterior dimensions of the outer walls at the ground line. <br /> (9) Building Height: The vertical distance, measured from the mean elevation of the fin- <br /> ished grade along the front of the building to the highest point on the roof for flat <br /> roofs; to the mean height level between 't.he eaves and the ridge for•'gable and hip roofs; <br /> to the deck line for mansard roofs. <br /> (10) Building Site Area: The ground area of a building or buildings, together with all <br /> open spaces required by this ordinance. <br /> (11) Camp Site or. Camping Grounds: An area or premises providing facilities for over- - <br /> night or short term campers in tents, camping trailers or trailers, together with neces- <br /> sary accessory buildings and service facilities which may be necessary for water supply <br /> and. waste disposal, and such other facilities as may be required by the state board of <br /> • health, together with a residence or living quarters for the owner or caretaker on the- <br /> premises. Such camping .grounds must be supervisedyduring the season they are open to <br /> the public. . <br /> (12) Club: An association for some common purpose, but not including a group organized <br /> for or which is actually engaged in rendering a service which is customarily carried <br /> on as a business. A road house or tavern shall not be construed as a club. <br /> (13) Colony House: A building for the breeding and raising of experimental and labora- <br /> tory animals, such as white mice and rats, guinea pigs and the like, and for .the storage <br /> of feed and accessory materials. <br /> (14) Condominium Apartment: An apartment house in which individual apartments may be <br /> offered for sale instead of for rent. <br /> (15) Definitions: When permitted uses are listed in certain districts and no definition - <br /> of- that use appears in this section then the dictionary definition or the commonly <br /> accepted definition will be applied.' <br /> (15a) District or soil and water conservation district: means a county whose board of.: - <br /> supervisors -has by resolution declared said county to be a soil and water conservation' <br /> district. <br /> (16) Dumping Grounds: An area owned or designated by a town, or ,owned by an incorpora- <br /> ted municipality, to be used for the dumping of rubbish, garbage or other' waste mater- <br /> ial, subject to .the provisions of Section 60.72 of the statutes. <br /> (17) Duplex: A .residential building designed to be occupied by two families living <br /> independently of each other. <br /> (18) Dwelling: <br /> (a) Single- Family Dwelling: A building designed for "and occupied exclusively as a resi- <br /> dence for .one family. <br /> • <br /> (b) Multiple Family Dwelling: 'A building designed or intended to be used by more than <br /> two families living independently of each others <br /> - 2 - <br />
