• • Section 10.24 Changes & Amendments Section 10.25 Administration, I?nl'oreement. and Penalties. - • 10.24 CHANGES AND AMENDMENTS (1) The Dane County Board of Supervisors may from time to time alter, supplement or change by ordinance the boundaries or classification of districts designated in this ordinance, or any of • the provisions or re gulations imposed by this ordinance in the mariner provided by law... • 10.25 ADMINISTRATION, ENFORCEMENT.AND PENALTIES • (1) Zoning Supervisor • (a) The provisions of this ordinance shall be administered by or under the direction of the zoning supervisor , who in person or by duly authorized deputy or assistant shall have the tight to enter upon premises affected by this ordinance at reasonable hours for the purpose of inspec- tion. The zoning supervisor shall hold his office under civil service, and vacancies in such office shall be filled by procedures established by the Civil Service Ordinance. The zoning committee shall be the appointing authority for the position of zoning supervisor. (b) It shall be the duty of the zoning supervisor to receive applications for huildingpermits and such other permits and licenses provided in this ordinance, and to issue such permits after applications have been examined and approved; to inspect buildings under construction for com- pliance with the regulations of this ordinance; to make periodic inspections; to tatce such action as'may be necessary for the enforcement of the regulations provided herein; to attend all meetings of the zoning committee and the board of adjustment; and to perform such other duties as the zoning committee and the board of-adjustment may direct: (2) Building Permits - (a) No_new building shall,hereafter be erected, and no existing building shall be added to, structurally altered, moved or changed in use, nor shall any non-conforming building he repaired, until a building permit.has been issued, except as otherwise provided by law or ordinance. (b) Permits are required as follows: 1. New construction, structural alterations, •change in use and additions to any existing building, or the moving on or onto the premises of any such building, in all districts except agricultural. • 2. All of the provisions enumerated in the preceding paragraph shall require permits in the agricultural district with the exception of accessory buildings used in connection with farming; provided, however, that when the board of adjustment shall have authorized an exception to ordinance provisions for such farm buildings, such construction shall be covered by permit. . 3. The repair•or restoration of an non-conforming building. 4. Signs and billboards, except on premise signs and except those for whibh permits have been issued by the state highway commission. . (c) The zoning supervisor in ny require the filing, of a scale drawing of the premises, showing the dimensions of the lot or parcel, the dimensions of the proposed building, the distance in feet from the abutting street or highway and from the side and rear lot line , the size and loca- tion of any existing buildings and such other information as he deems necessary. The zoning supervisor shall not he responsible for deterring the location of lot lines.
