SECTION 10.25 <br />(b) It shall be the duty of the zoning supervisor to receive applications for <br />building permits and such other permits and licenses provided in this <br />ordinance, and to issue such permits after applications have been examined <br />and approved; to inspect buildings under construction for compliance with the <br />regulations of this ordinance; to make periodic inspections; to take such <br />action as may be necessary for the enforcement of the regulations provided <br />herein; to attend all meetings of the zoning committee and the board of <br />adjustment; and to perform such other duties as the zoning committee and the <br />board of adjustment may direct. <br />(2 ) BUILDING PERIETS <br />(a) No.new bolding shall he,reaf'ter be erected, and-no existing building shall be <br />added to, structurally altered, moved or changed in use, nor shall any non- <br />conforming building be repaired, until a building permit has been issued, <br />except as otherwise provided by law or ordinance. <br />(b) Permits are required as follows: <br />1. New construction, structural alterations, change in use and additions to <br />any existing building, or the moving on or onto the premises of any such <br />building, in all districts except agricultural. <br />2. All of the provisions enumerated in the preceding paragraph shall require <br />permits in the agricultural district with the exception of accessory <br />buildings used in connection with farming; provided, however, that when the <br />board of adjustment shall have authorized an exception to ordinance pro- <br />visions for such farm buildings, such construction shall be covered by permit. <br />3. The repair or restoration of a non - conforming building. <br />4. Signs and billboards; except on premise signs and except those for which <br />permits have been issued by the state highway commission. <br />(c) The zoning supervisor may require the filing of a scale drawing of the premises, <br />showing the dimensions of the lot or parcel, the dimensions of the proposed <br />building, the distance in feet from the abutting street or highway and from <br />the side and rear lot line, the size and. location of any existing buildings and <br />such other information as he deems necessary. The zoning supervisor shall not <br />be responsible for determing the location of lot lines. <br />(d) Application for permit must contain the following: name and address of the <br />owner of the property, legal description, size and location of the building to <br />be erected or moved on or onto the property, proposed use of the building or <br />premises, type of construction, estimated cost and such other.information as <br />the zoning supervisor may require. <br />(e) Such application shall be signed by the owner or his duly authorized representative <br />or agent; provided, however, that if a prospective owner desires a prior ruling <br />on a proposed construction or use before consummation of purchase, he may apply <br />for a permit, and if such permit be denied, he may appeal to the board of adjustment. <br />(f) Coincident with the issuing of a permit the zoning supervisor shall prepare <br />a card, certifying that a permit has been issued. Such card shall bear the <br />same number as the permit and identify the construction and premises covered <br />by the permit. Such card shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the premises <br />during the construction, and no construction shall be begun until such card <br />
