SECTION. 10.05 R -1 RESIDENCE DISTRICT <br />10.05 R -1 RESIDENCE DISTRICT <br />(1.) USES PERMITTED <br />(a) Single Family detached Ihaelltngs. <br />(b) Gardening, including truck gardens, nurseries and greenhouses, but <br />not including the raising or keeping of poultry, livestock, bees or fur bearing <br />animals, including rabbits, except as otherwise herein provided. <br />(c) Municipal buildings, except buildings for the repair or storage of <br />road building or maintenance machinery. <br />�r3) Telephone, telegraph and power transmission lines, water, gas and <br />sewer lines; any building or structure accessory to the operation of such lines, <br />including electric transformer stations, telephone exchanges, pumping stations <br />and the like.. <br />(e) Public parks, golf courses, tennis courts, archery ranges. <br />(f) Churches and schools, colleges and universities conducted not for <br />profit, but not including private music,.dancing, business or vocational schools. <br />(g) Institutions of a charitable or philanthropic nature, hospitals, <br />clinics and sanatoria, except contagious hospitals and insane asylums. <br />(h) Libraries, museums and community buildings, private clubs and frat- <br />ernities, except those whose principal activity is a service customarily car- <br />ried on as a business, and except also riding clubs. <br />(i) Home occupations. <br />(j) Accessory buildings, including private garages and buildings clearly <br />incidental to the residential use of the property; provided, however, that no <br />accessory building may be used as a separate dwelling unit.. <br />(k) Signs and other advertising media as follows: <br />1. To advertise a customary home occupation or professional office, pro- <br />vided that such sign shall be attached to the building and shall not exceed two <br />(2) square feet in gross area. <br />2. To advertise the sale, rent, lease or trade of the property on which <br />the sign is placed, provided that no such sign shall exceed six (6) square feet <br />in gross area, except in subdivisions or unplatted lands newly opened for sale, <br />or subdivisions or unplatted lands where the density of construction does not <br />exceed an average of one building for each two hundred (200) feet of frontage, <br />such latter sign shall not exceed one hundred (100) square feet in gross area. <br />3.
