DEFINITIONS <br />SECTION 10.01 <br />(13) Colony Huse: A building for the breeding and raising of experimental <br />and laboratory animals, such as white mice and rats, guinea pigs and the like, <br />and for the storage of feed and accessory materials. <br />(14) Condominium Apartment: An apartment house in which individual apart- <br />ments may be offered for sale instead of for rent. <br />(15) Definitions: When permitted uses are listed in certain districts and <br />no definition of that use appears in this section then the dictionary definition <br />or the commonly accepted definition will be applied. <br />(16) Dumping Grounds: An area owned or designated by a town, or owned by an <br />incorporated municipality, to be used for the dumping of rubbish, garbage or <br />other waste material, subject to the provisions of Section 60.72 of the statutes. <br />(17) Duplex: A residential building designed to be occupied by two families <br />living independently of each other. <br />(18) Dwelling: <br />(a) Single Family Dwelling: A building designed for and occupied exclusively <br />as a residence for one family. <br />(b) Multiple Family Dwelling: A building designed or intended to be used by <br />more than two families living independently of each other. <br />(19) Family: Any number of individuals related by blood or marriage, or not <br />to exceed five (5) persons not so related, living together on the premises as <br />a single housekeeping unit, including any domestic servants. <br />(20) Garage, Private: An accessory building or accessory portion of the <br />main building, used, or designed or intended to be used for the storage of <br />private motor vehicles belonging to the family or families resident on the <br />premises, and in which no business, service or industry connected directly or <br />indirectly with motor vehicles is carried on, and provided that not more than <br />one -half of the space may be rented for private vehicles of persons not <br />resident on the premises, except that all of the space in a garage having a <br />capacity of not more than two cars may be so rented. Not more than one com- <br />mercial vehicle may be stored in such garage and such commercial vehicle shall <br />not exceed two and one -half (21�s) tons capacity and must belong to a family or <br />member of a family resident on the premises. <br />(21) Garage, Public: Any building, structure or premises used for the repair, <br />servicing or storage of motor vehicles for the general public. No building or <br />premises used for the sale,.display for sale, of motor vehicles or trailers, <br />where no repairs or mechanical work is done, shall be considered a public <br />garage for the purposes of this ordinance. <br />(22) Home Occupation: Any occupation for gain or profit conducted only by <br />members of the family resident upon the premises, provided that no articles <br />may be sold or offered for sale except those produced on the premises, and no <br />3 <br />
