SECTION 10.01 SEFINITIONS <br />article may be displayed so as to be visible from the street or highway. <br />Home occupations may include doctors and dentists,, music teachers, weaving, <br />knitting and similar activities, and when approved by the state board of <br />health, may include barber shops and beauty parlors. The buying and selling <br />of any article will not be deemed a proper home occupation. <br />(23) Hotel: A building in which board and lodging-are provided to the <br />transient public for compensation. <br />(24) Lodging House: A building in which lodging.accomodations are pro- <br />vided by previous arrangement for definite periods of time to four (4) or more <br />but not to exceed twelve (12) individuals not members of the family. <br />(25) Lot: A parcel of land occupied or intended to be occupied by one <br />building and its accessory buildings and uses, except as otherwise provided <br />herein. A lot may be a parcel designated in a plat or described in a convey- <br />ance recorded in the office of the register of deeds, or any part of A larger <br />parcel when such part complies with the requirements of this ordinance as to <br />width and area for the district in which it is located. No lands included in <br />any street, highway or railroad right of way shall be included when computing <br />area. <br />(26) Lot, Corner: A lot located at the intersection of two streets, any <br />two corners of which form an angle of one hundred twenty (120) degrees or less, <br />or is bounded by a curved street any two chords of which on.the inside of the <br />curve form an angle of one hundred (120) degrees or less. <br />(27) Lot, Interior: A lot which is not a corner lot, <br />(28) Lot Lines: The lines bounding a lot as described herein. <br />(29)-Lot Width: For purposes of this ordinance the width of a lot shall be <br />the shortest distance between the side lines at the setback line. On triangular <br />or irregular shaped lots the width shall be the shortest distance between the <br />side lines of the lot at the building line. Such building line may be the <br />setback line of a line designated on a plat, or in a conveyance of an unplatted <br />parcel. On farm lands, where the distance between side lines may vary,, the <br />distance between the side lines at the point where accessory farm buildings are <br />located shall be deemed the lot width. <br />(30) Mobile Homes Park: An area or premises on which is provided space for <br />the more or less permanent accomodation for more than two mobile homes, together, <br />with any accessory buildings and facilities for the disposal of waste and for <br />water supply, and such other facilities as the state board of health may require. <br />An office and residence for the owner or operator of the park may be permitted <br />within the park boundaries. Such park must be supervised. <br />(31) Motel: A building containing sleeping rooms for the temporary ac- <br />comodation of tourists and not for permanent occupancy except by the owner or <br />resident operator. A restaurant, gift shop or the like may be permitted for. <br />the accomodation of guests. <br />4 <br />
