(b) All types of agriculture, horticulture and general farming, includ-
<br />ing dairying, live stock and poultry raising, kennels, fur farms, nurseries,
<br />green houses and similar enterprises and uses.
<br />(c) Manufacturing and processing of natural mineral resources in-
<br />digenous to Dane.county, including sand and gravel pits, lime and rock
<br />crushing, and the like, including the erection of buildings, and the in-
<br />stallation of necessary machinery and equipment incidental thereto.
<br />(d) Manufacturing and processing of natural agricultural resources
<br />and products, including without limitation because of enumeration cream-
<br />eries, cheese factories, condenseries, canneries, hemp mills, sorghum mills,
<br />feed mills and similar uses, but not including rendering plants, fertilizer
<br />plants, and the like.
<br />(e) Skeet and trap shooting, if not nearer than eight hundred (800)
<br />feet to any residence other than that of the owner or occupant of the
<br />premises; also rifle ranges, provided that the zoning committee, after public
<br />bearing, shall determine that the site is suitable for such purpose.
<br />(f) Airports, landing fields or landing strips, together with hangars
<br />and necessary accessory buildings and equipment.
<br />(g) Penal and correctional institutions, contagious hospitals and insane
<br />asylums...
<br />(h) Slaughter houses,-pea viners and tourist and trailer camps; provided
<br />that the zoning committee, after public hearing, shall determine that the
<br />proposed site is suitable for such use.
<br />(i) Radio stations, radio transmission towers and microwave radio
<br />relay towers; provided, however, that the size of the parcel and the location
<br />of the towers is such as to insure that a tower will not fall on the
<br />property of adjacent property owners nor across a public highway.
<br />(j) Signs to advertise sale of agricultural products produced on the
<br />premises; signs to advertise any other use permitted; signs giving the name
<br />of the farm or the farm owner; directory signs, when such sign is located
<br />not more than one -half mile distant and in the approaching direction from
<br />the use advertised.
<br />(2) Building Height Limit.
<br />(a) Not to exceed fifty (50) feet.
<br />(3) Area, Frontage and Population Density Regulations.
<br />(a) For agricultural purposes the area shall be not less than five (5)
<br />acres and the minimum width shall be two hundred fifty (250) feet.
<br />(b) For ' resideptial 'uses the minimum width and are4 shall be the
<br />same as for the R -2 Residence District; provided, however, that for' mul-
<br />tiple family dwellings the minimum area shall be five thousand (5000)
<br />square feet per family.
<br />(c) For other permitted uses, no minimum width or area except for
<br />those uses for which special setback and side yards have been established.
<br />(4) Setback Requirements.
<br />(a) No building, including barns and other farm buildings of any
<br />description whatsoever, shall hereafter be erected, moved or structurally
<br />altered so as to be nearer the highway than is prescribed by Section 10.17.
<br />(5) Side Yard Requirements.
<br />(a) Lots or parcels used for residential purposes shall provide side
<br />yards in accordance with the provisions of Section 10.06 (5) for the R -2
<br />Residence District. .r
<br />(6) Rear Yard Requirements.
<br />(a) Lots or parcels used for residential purposes shall provide rear
<br />yards in accordance with the provisions of Section 10.06 (6) for the R -2
<br />Residence District.

<br />(7) Off -Street Parking.
<br />(a) Off- street parking space shall be provided in accordance with
<br />the provisions of Section 10.18.
<br />10.13 C -1 COMMERCIAL AND LIGHT MANUFACTURING DIS-
<br />TRICT.
<br />(1) Uses Permitted.
<br />(a) All uses permitted in the B -1 Local Business District.
<br />(b) Wholesale business, including warehouses having a ground floor
<br />area not in excess of twenty thousand (20,000) square feet, but not includ-
<br />ing junk yards or the sale or storage of salvage material.
<br />• (c) Bakeries, printing plants, laundries, cleaning and dyeing plants,
<br />mechanical repair shops, including garages having a capacity of not more
<br />than ten (10) cars for repair, bottling plants, experimental and manufac-
<br />turing laboratories, and the like.
<br />(d) Woodworking plants, plants for the fabrication of sheet metal
<br />products, welding shops, machine shops and the like employing not more
<br />than seven (7) persons in production.
<br />(e) Any processing or treatment clearly incidental to the conduct
<br />of a permitted business or use.
<br />(f) Amusement places, including roller skating rinks and shooting
<br />galleries; 'provided, however, that for roller skating rinks, shooting gal-
<br />leries and outdoor theatres, the zoning committee, after public hearing,
<br />shall determine that the proposed site is suitable for such purpose.
<br />(,g) Slaughter house, when the site has been approved by the State
<br />Board of Health, and when the zoning committee, after public hearing,
<br />shall have determined that the site is suitable for such purpose.

<br />(h) Uses permitted in Section 10.12 (c) and (d), A -1 Agricultural Dis-
<br />(i) Tourist and trailer camps, when the zoning committee, after pub-
<br />lic hearing, shall have determined that the proposed site is suitable for
<br />such purpose.
<br />(j) Advertising signs and billboards.
<br />,(2) Building Height Limit.
<br />(a) Residential buildings, or buildings for combined residential and
<br />business purposes, shall not exceed thirty -five (35) feet or two and one -
<br />half (21F_) stories in height.
<br />(b) For all other buildings the maximum height shall be fifty (50) feet.
<br />(3) Area, Frontage and Population Density Regulations.
<br />(a) Area, frontage and per cent of occupancy regulations shall be
<br />the same as for the B -1 Local Business District.
<br />(4) Setback Requirements.
<br />(a) Setback from front lot line or highway right of way shall con-
<br />form to the provisions of Section 10.17.
<br />(5) Side Yard Requirements.
<br />(a) Side yard requirements shall be the same as for the B -1 Local
<br />Business District.
<br />(6) Rear Yard Requirements.
<br />(a) Rear yard requirements shall be the same as for the B -1 Local
<br />Business District.
<br />(7) Off -Street Parking.
<br />(a) Off -street parking space shall be provided in accordance with the
<br />provisions of Section 10.18.
